Mission
The mission of the lancaster cemetery is to offer space for burial and to maintain the grounds and monuments of one of pennsylvania's oldest, non- profit cemetery companies consisting of over 20,000 gravesites, and unlimited memorial sites and to promote the history and monument art of the site for the education and enjoyment of the general public.

The lancaster cemetery strives to preserve this victorian-era, and one of pennsylvania's oldest non-profit cemetery organizations as well as the natural and artistic relics and monuments enshrined therein. In addition, the cemetery strives to educate the general public regarding the cemetery's historical significance and to maintain a peaceful, secure and attractive sanctuary for families, decendants, and interested parties of those buried there. The number and species of trees on the cemetery acreage have qualified as an arboretum.
