Mission
L'Arche Northern Colorado is a community of people with and without intellectual disabilities who live work and share life together within a culture of welcome, connection and belonging. We welcome by valuing each person and celebrating their gifts. We connect by linking relationships and resources to meet each person's real needs. And, we belong by including each person in meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships. By intentionally positioning marginalized voices a the center of an intentionally inclusive community, we proactively counteract the overt discrimination of people with intellectual disabilities. -- This fiscal year we have secured almost 50% of our $2M total budget to build 2 six bed, four bath houses at Heartside Hill, which will provide safe, stable, longterm, affordable housing for people with intellectual disabilities. We have also formalized partnerships with IDD service providers, our school district and a helped to establish the Inclusive Housing Coalition.
