The Last Alarm Foundations purpose is to provide deceased Firefighters with transportation to their final resting placetheir Last Alarm To observe this fire services time-honored tradition the Foundation shall procure convert restore and sustain an antique fire truck into a funeral coach to transport deceased firefighters and first responders to their final resting place The truck is intended to be available for funerals of emergency responders killed in the line of duty or that are retired and living in Goldsboro Wayne County or North Carolina at the time of their passing The truck shall serve as a unique opportunity to honor firefighters and first responders that have dedicated their lives to protecting and serving our community The truck will also be used to educate the public by supporting and promoting various fire protection life safety programs within our community
