Grant to Non-Profit: LAWA joined with a local business and hosted an event that included many community partners and business leaders. The event provided education and awareness of LAWA's programs and impact on the community. The proceeds from the fundraiser were split evenly with another local non-profit.

High School Series:The High School Series workshops were launched in 2010. These free bilingual workshops are held at local community colleges and universities and are designed to help Latino families prepare for post-secondary education. Informational sessions include academic and social development, career pathways, college admissions, college applications, financial aid, networking, and mentoring. Since their inception, more than 1,800 teens and their caregivers have benefited from our workshops.
