The community comadres program at latinos en spokane provides culturally and linguistically responsive wraparound services to latino and immigrant families in spokane. Through personalized support, the comadres help community members navigate healthcare enrollment, rental and utility assistance, covid-19 resources, legal and immigration appointments, and referrals to local and state services. By bridging language and cultural gaps, the program ensures families can access critical resources and support systems, promoting equity and well-being within the latino community.in 2023, the community comadres program conducted over 2,092 community intakes, helped families enroll in wa health benefits, devlivered food and resources to vulnerable elders, and accompanied clients to court, immigration, medical appointments, and provided interpretation and technical support for public benefit applications.

Our el mercadito market, outdoor cultural market is held the last saturday of every month at cannon park from 11 am to 3 pm. El mercadito was developed to create access to fresh cultural foods, activities, and provide support for local entrepreneurs and organizations to showcase their products and services. At el mercadito you can obtain fresh foods and vegetables, cultural foods, receive your covid-19 vaccine, listen to music, and dance at our zumba classes. In 2023, we reached over 2,092 families through el mercadito, distributing 98,000 lbs of food. Throughout the year el mercadito held 80 cultural events and featured outreach with chas clinics.

Poder legal - in 2023, latinos en spokane partnered with the way to justice to inform and connect latino and immigrant communities with driver's license reinstatement and post-conviction relief legal services offered by their team. Latinos en spokane hosted 12 free legal clinics in partnership with the spokane county volunteer lawyers program and 11 free immigration clinics in collaboration with gonzaga law school and manzanita house.
