Laurel Hill Center

Sweep optical provides training and employment for people with disabilities. Employees earn competitive wages in the manufacturing and packaging of prescription eyewear ordered by over 200 optometrists and other eye care providers statewide. Our largest contract is with the division of medical assistance programs, oregon health authority. This year we employed 16 individuals with disabilities who provided 68% of the production labor to produce approximately 40,000 pairs of glasses.

Housing: laurel hill center provides affordable housing and related services to people with serious mental illness and poor rental histories, or those needing to re-integrate into the community after hospitalization. We have 73 apartment units with 108 beds and one house with 4 beds for rent. In addition, we manage approximately 132 rental subsidies/vouchers for community housing and also provide barrier removal and housing navigation for up to 35 individuals not receiving rental subsidies.
