EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION. The membership of the Association consists only of all residents of Laurel Lake Retirement Community, Inc. (LLRC), a continuing care retirement community, who have paid their entrance fee to LLRC. LLRC prohibits all its employees and staff from accepting any gratuity from residents. In order to acknowledge and express their appreciation for services received, the Association conducts a fund-raising event among only its members and delivers all funds collected to LLRC for distribution to all employees and staff except LLRC's CEO and those senior managers who report directly to the CEO. Approximately 202 employees received a minimum payment (before taxes) of $51 up to a maximum of approximately $2,160, allocated based on hours worked. Approximately 83% of all residents contributed.
