To advocate for and provide quality services to people with developmental disabilities and ensure their health, safety and welfare while promoting personal choice and growth.

Adult training facility:the adult training facility is a community based activity program for adults with developmental disabilities. The program operates monday thru friday and provides intensive staff support for individuals who display a variety of medical, social and behavioral needs. The program is dually licensed by the office of developmental programs and the department of aging. Individuals over the age of sixty are considered part of our "senior" population.all of the individuals who attend atf enjoy a great variety of activites designed to maximize their opportunities for community involvement, assist them in maintaining acquired skills and optimize their level of independence. Individual support plans assure that each service receipient's experience is tailored to meet their unique needs and desired outcomes.

Personal care home:lcarc provides safe housing and 24 hour care for up to 29 individuals with developmental disabilities who have no other living options. Unlike funded group homes, the personal care home operates solely on the individual's room and board payments, from their monthly ssi checks. In return, they are provided with room, board, personal care services, recreation, financial assistance and assistance in obtaining medical care and health services. The personal care home is a licensed site through the department of public welfare.

Other programs include the following:early intervention program: this program is provided for developmentally delayed children, ages birth to three, and is designed to teach parents how to address a child's delays in their natural environment. Speech and physical therapy as well as obedience therapy are also provided. There are usually 10 children at most on the roster.day camp: operational eight (8) weeks during the months of june, july and august, this program offers recreation, social activities, learning, and instruction in daily living and safety skills, plus a hot lunch. The program setting is at cascade park and features swimming at the local ymca pool on fridays. Hours of operation are from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm, weekdays. Approximately 25 campers attend every summer, between the ages of 3 and 25.community habilitation facility: this facility provides a day program designed to meet the needs of the developmentally disabled adult. The program offers basic education (commensurate with the needs of the developmentally disabled) in daily living skills, life-safety instruction and field trips. The program serves approximately 25 individuals.respite care: this service is provided on a limited basis at individuals' homes and at lawrence co. Arc group home if a bed is available.hud: this residential site provides assisted services for developmentally disabled individuals residing in hud housing. Staff is provided to teach home-making skills and safety training. The hud site served by lcarc has eight apartments house nine individuals receiving care, plus their families.in home & community services: this program provides support by trained staff to families in their homes through social activities, respite care and goal-oriented individual instruction. Hours of service are flexible to best meet the needs of families. There are less than 5 individuals currently receiving services.
