Providing educational programs, civic engagement opportunities, and community support to bipoc youth.
Programs
3 programs
Civic engagement: the civics program strengthens civic participation and leadership in black and brown communities through education, outreach, and advocacy. Its initiatives focus on public safety reform, community investment, and equitable access to democracy. Members receive training in civic action and meet with policymakers to advocate for policies that support thriving communities.
High school program: leaders igniting transformation's high school program empowers youth of color to advocate for equitable and supportive learning environments. Students lead campaigns that promote positive school climates and reduce harmful disciplinary practices. Through chapters, paid fellowships, and leadership events, participants build civic engagement, organizing, and leadership skills.
