Leadership Birmingham Inc An

In the 2023-2024 program year, youth leadership forum provided over 85 hours of engaging educational content to a class of 47 high school sophomores and juniors from the greater birmingham area. The ylf class of 2024 learned about critical issues in government, human services, the arts, economic development, and education from over 80 community experts at 26 local sites. Ylf class members received an additional ten hours of training in leadership development, civic responsibility, time management, and college readiness and preparation. The ylf class of 2024 developed deep friendships, expanded their personal networks, and developed the knowledge and desire for deeper civic engagement and action.

The members association is made up of the 1,700 program alumni and continues the networking, education, communication, and inspiration that leadership birmingham class members experienced during their program year. During the 2023-2024 program year, the association hosted five educational and social events for its members and classes hosted several reunion events. The members association also published the winter 2023 issue of leadership birmingham magazine which received honorable mention from the 2024 hermes creative awards.
