To educate and equip a network of leaders who advocate for idaho agriculture.

The organization plans, organizes and facilitates the Idaho Ag Summit. The Summit has four main components. 1)Legislative dinner with leaders in agriculture 2)A half day progam with speakers for idaho ag leaders 3)presentation of annual award to a selected commodity or industry organization 4) presenetation of annual governor's awards for excellence in agriculture.
State exchange program - the organization sponsors an exchange where alumni of the organization are invited to visit another state on an informative and educational tour with farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses located in that state. The purpose is for idaho agriculture leaders to interact with a totally different type of agriculture from what is raised and produced in idaho.
Washington DC Experience is an opportunity offered to alumni to continue to build on the foundation that was established in the core program of LIA. This experience is a week-long immersion into the culture of our Nations Capital that gives participants a better understanding of government and National Agriculture Organizations. Participants have the opportunity to meet with the members of Idahos congressional delegation, gain a better understanding of national agricultural organizations, and tour various government agencies and landmarks. In 2025 we had a total of 16 participants in the Washington DC Experience
the organization coordinates the annual congressional aides fact finding tour. The tour solicits congressional aides from washington, dc (no more than 12-14 participants) to visit idaho for a 96 hour period during the august congressional recess to learn about idaho agriculture. the tour includes meeting with various agriculture leaders in idaho, experiencing life in agriculture and learning abount many of the issues facing the industry.
Tailgate talks - the organization has partnered with the idaho dairymen's association to provide information on the most common safety and health issues in dairy, farming and ranching operations. The program provides printed materials to members raising health and safety awareness.
