Since 1986, leadership perimeter has developed and inspired leaders to serve their communities for a lifetime. Through our adult and youth programs, we expose leaders to the diverse assets and issues within our state and region. A series of sector-focused days provide insights into how communities function while inspiring participants to get involved within their communities. We work with local & state governments and many civic & nonprofit organizations to advance community engagement, cultivate community & civic service.

Youth leadership sandy springs (ylss) was launched by leadership perimeter in 2011 and provides high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with experiential learning opportunities to help develop their leadership skills and learn more about their community. Students discover what it takes to build a thriving community by speaking with business, human services and civic leaders, as well as learn leadership skills to help them reach their full potential. In this 7-month program, students explore sandy springs through six interactive program days and develop leadership skills during three afternoon workshops. The interactive days include meeting with government leaders and public safety officials. Additionally, students go to human services organizations and large & small companies. Workshops help students develop leadership, communication and personal skills to better understand themselves as current or emerging leaders.
