Leadership training institute (lti) is a notforprofit 501(c)(3)organization dedicated to empowering challenged families and children to overcome barriers, tap potential and achieve success through education, mentoring and social justice advocacy. Central to the institute's philosophy are the concepts of advocacy and service, that is, the general welfare of all and the development and maintenance of leadership qualities and skills. By means of policy, posture and programs, lti directs its major efforts to the design and implementation of educational, employment, career development, mentoring, juvenile and criminal justice, violence prevention and capacity building initiatives. Lti collaborates with new york colleges and universities providing field placements and internships for undergraduate and graduate students in social work, education, anthropology, sociology, psychology and criminal justice. Programs

Employment and workforce development services: these services focus on supporting the highrisk adult population seeking employment. The program offers job readiness and soft skills training services that are designed to increase hiring potential and foster economical mobility of hard to place/employ individuals. In addition, our services provide employment options as well as entrepreneurial development creating varied career pathways for our clients. We also offer job placement opportunities through community and corporate partnerships.

Reentry services: these services assist incarcerated individuals and formerly incarcerated individuals to successfully reintegrate back into society. The services assist justice involved individual's reentry by providing cognitive behavioral intervention (cbi) training, comprehensive case management, assisting clients in the navigation of housing referrals, substance use services, anger management treatment, counseling, mentoring and employment services.
