Education - The League has been the national cycling education provider for over 50 years, providing printed and electronic materials/videos to build confidence for more biking and safer streets for all. The League offers the only national certification program for bicycling educators. The League has trained more than 6,800 League Cycling Instructors, with 2,300 currently active, which have taught more than hundreds of thousands of students to commute, share the road, ride in traffic, and more. Our curriculum includes a module for drivers to improve driver safety and the safety of bicyclists. The training helps people feel more secure about getting on their bikes. More than 40 League Cycling Instructor Certification Seminars are held around the country each year. Through the Bicycle Friendly America program showcasing and supporting improvements to make bicycling safe, comfortable, and accessible in communities across the country.

Membership Services The League is dedicated to protecting the rights of cyclists and creating a bicycle-friendly America for everyone through advocacy, education, and promotion. We do that for our members through our programs and initiatives, through our magazine, American Bicyclist, our action alerts to members about legislation in their areas, and our bi-weekly e-newsletter.

Promotion - The League is the national sponsor of National Bike Month and Bike to Work Day. The League promotes the events of its thousands of member clubs, organizations, and affiliated businesses. The League also showcases and celebrates the positive change and progress being made toward building a Bicycle Friendly America for everyone nationwide through its programming and communications. Lastly, the Leagues National Bike Challenge is a nationwide event uniting tens of thousands of current bicyclistsand encouraging countless new riders each year.
