The League of Women Voters of Minneapolis, Inc. encourages all citizens to play an informed and active roll in their community and government and works to influence public policy through education and advocacy.
Programs

Outreach: Provides citizen education to improve public policy. Research balanced, in-depth reports on pressing local issues. Reports used by community organizations to promote systemic change for community improvement. Reports have included violence prevention, racism, housing, public education, the structure of government and sex trafficking.
Member and Community Education: Prepares all citizens and potential citizens to play an informed and active role in government and community. Provides workshops, educational forums and partners with community and neighborhood participation groups. Provides information to the general public via staff, newsletter, website and members.
Advocacy: Advocates for reasonable solutions to the most pressing problems in the community that have government solutions. Advocates from positions established by thorough study, discussion and member consensus.
