Our mission is to empower voters and defend democracy. We promote informed active participation in government work to increase the understanding of major public-policy issues and influence public policy through education and advocacy. Voters Edge Smart Voter: This LWV website provides candidates and ballot measure information to voters based on their own ballot LWVSC works to enlist all local candidates for election and ballot measure backers to provide voter education information that voters access by their address and therefore specific to the voters ballot.
Community Engagement: Enable LWVSC to attend & host community events to register voters supply nonpartisan "Voters Guides with pro cons of ballot props coordinate & moderate candidate forums assist Elections Dept. school electrons present pros & cons of ballot measures to groups hire intern to promote civic engagement in HS College age.
