The corporation is formed : (i) to operate and manage low-income, cooperative and rental housing on the lower east side of, new york city,; (ii) to provide dwelling accommodations in such project to eligible persons and families of low and moderate income; (iii) to do and perform all acts necessary to accomplish the above-mentioned corporate purposes and (vi) to perform these functions in such a way as to preserve, support and uplift the inter-generation, diverse and vibrant community that lives in said housing under practices that uphold the principles of social justice, permanent affordability and the history of our community.
