The growth grants program was inspired by those who were nominated for the woman of purpose program, which recognizes women who are making a positive impact on a local or global community incorporating sustainability, food justice and public health. Applicants were asked to submit an essay stating how a grant would help expand their organization's ability to provide services that produce equitable outcomes for their community.
