Mission
Our mission is to enrich the quality of public education in the thirteen communities served by LISD.

Teachers & schools used these funds inside the classroom to promote a variety of different types of learning. Each grant was applied for separately as a specific request to meet the needs of a particular teacher or campus. There were 147 grants awarded to LISD teachers and campuses.
Awards of excellence are given to LISD employees as a way to recognize and encourage their distinction and efforts put in during the year and over their careers at LISD. There were 10 awards given to LISD counselors, nurses, administration and other outstanding employees.
