Mission
Life enrichment options (leo) is a community based non-profit organization that works to enrich the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their life vision and goals through supportive housing, recreation, community education and advocacy.
Programs
2 programs
Advocacy & education - leo supports families and individuals experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities (idd) by advocating for needed services, educating families on available resources and helping them to navigate the available services. We support many families within our service area of issaquah, snoqualmie valley and rural eastern king county. We do this by hosting educational forums and presenting at community events. We share resource materials and links to resources that might be helpful for families who support an individual with idd. We can also meet with families directly to help them connect with the right resources or services needed.
Recreation & community involvement - leo has historically partnered with many local organizations to work together to promote including adults experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities (idd) in community events such as the rotary club sponsored gravity car challenge races for children with idd. Leo often participates in the annual fenders on front street and salmon days events. We work closely with the issaquah parks and community services to offer other recreational events to supplement what issaquah offers such as thursday night hangouts, our annual picnic and holiday party.
