Mission

The Light House Group Inc was founded in June of 2016 as a tax exempt 501(c)3 organization, as a direct response to the tragic murders that occurred in February of 2015. The organization is governed by five board members and is operated by an executive director. We provide support and advocacy for youth in the local Muslim community, and foster education and awareness for the broader national community to address the growing gap that exists today between the detrimental perception of Muslim Americans and the favorable reality of Muslim Americans. We operate a Community Programs Office to support tax exempt activities and programs in the local community of all faiths through providing office space and fiscal sponsorship; and engage the national audience through the Office of Community Engagement where we share the story of the murders through spoken word, and bridge the perception gap through story-telling and education.
