Mission

Lighthouse artcenter, inc. Was formed to provide the vehicle through which interest in the cultural arts could be developed and advanced. This objective is accomplished through courses of instruction in painting, ceramics, sculpture, etc., through periodic exhibits of various art forms by qualified artists, through lectures, demonstrations, and various functions designed to encourage citizens of the community to use and benefit from.

Lighthouse artcenter curates and presents a year-round schedule of 6 to 10 exhibitions annually, reflecting a wide range of artistic disciplines and perspectives. Exhibiting artists include internationally recognized figures, regional professionals, and emerging local talent, including member and student artists. The exhibition program supports public engagement with the arts and provides professional opportunities for artists at all stages of their careers. Through community partnerships, targeted outreach, and related educational programming, lighthouse artcenter continues to expand access and reach increasingly diverse audiences.

Lighthouse artcenter offers outreach and community art programs that increase access to the arts for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. These inclusive, hands-on experiences promote self-expression, connection, and well-being. Studies have shown that creative engagement can reduce stress, support mental health, and build resilience.to ensure accessibility and promote equity in the arts, lighthouse artcenter provides need-based scholarships and partners with local schools and organizations to deliver programs both onsite and in the community. Several offerings are tailored to meet the unique needs of specific populations, including individuals with special needs and veterans. Each week, more than 400 children receive free art education through these partnerships. Many of these students would not otherwise have access to arts programming.year-round fundraising supports these outreach initiatives and scholarships, helping remove barriers to participation and expand access to meaningful creative experiences.
