The links, inc, a volunteer service organization, is concerned primarily with enriching, sustaining, and insuring the identities, culture and economic survival of african americans.

Services to youth facet focused on providing education to youth regarding dental health, emotional wellness and academic excellence during family health centers back to school event held in august of 2024, gift certificates and school supplies were given out. The chapter's literacy program consists of lincoln international school (lis) first and second graders (identified by their teachers and school principal as the most in need of assistance) with goal of improving the reading/language comprehension and word recogonition skills of the identified students. Through our weekly face-to-face tutoring sessions with the students, regular breifings with lis school principal and teachers, literacy night events and other relevant activities, students strengthen their reading skills fostering the opportunity for academic success.
International trends and services and national trends and services the kalamazoo (mi) chapter of the links, incorporated provides funding for purchasing seeds for henry ssagala farm in kampaqla uganda. Farming is a key economic factor in uganda and urban farming ensures that families have a sustainable quality of life. This funding helps to maintain a consistent food supply, provide a means to pay school tuition and economic stability to those families involved in the project, the chapter also provided gift cards to western michigan university seita program scholars.
Health and human services the kalamazoo (mi) chapter of links, incorporated provides funding for dental carer programing (dental day of caring). More than one third of kalamazoo residents (adults) are uninsured and cannot afford dental care. Further, some african american residents express concern about finding a dentist that treated them and their children with respect. Thus, the chapter formulated a partnership with kalamazoo family health center to support their intergrated dental care programing
