Our services to youth/council program is designed to empower and impact youth, especially our local community youth. The teens participate in education, civic, and cultural programs from september to june, annually. Participants attend from ages 13-18. Workshops and speakers cover topics related to their needs, including college preparatory support. The content covers various areas including: workshops, informational career sessions, financial games, and economic empowerment focus speakers. Our health and human services and arts and international trends and services facets seek to educate, expose and support disadvantaged communities and low funded schools. Due to the pandemic, our youth initiatives successfully migrated to a virtual platform.
Our charitable giving programs provide for thanksgiving and holiday meals, toys, and clothing to those in need in our community. As part of our mlk day of service, the organization partners with other volunteer community organizations to collect and distribute donated items to shelters, families and the elderly. We provide breakfast for the homeless, blankets for shelters, meals for the elderly, and educational supplies for children in underfunded school districts.
