Mission

Lbfs is a nonprofit vegan sanctuary in virginia. Giving animals a safe and loving home they all so deserve. Many animals are hurt, discarded, too young to survive on their own, have special needs, or are looked over for no fault of their own. At little buckets farm sanctuary those animals will be given a chance at a new life. They will be rehabilitated if needed, given plenty of food, shelter, love, and the necessary care all while making our farm their new home. They will never again be scared or hungry. They will only know love, having a full tummy and a place to call home while allowing them a chance to show off their personality, play with friends, and share their love with farm friends and become a part of the little buckets family. Through our social channels and in-person sanctuary tours, we show people that farm animals have fun, loving, and sweet personalities just like our domesticated pets. Farm animals have strong family bonds and friendships with each other as well as the

Sharing the above rescue stories as well as the stories & daily life of all the rescue animals on several different social media platforms regularly, inspires people all over the world. The animals determination, will to live, and loving and fun personalities spreads compassion and in turn we hope is saving additional lives by people making more compassionate decisions in their diet and lifestyle.

Expenses: $10K

We hosted multiple tours of the sanctuary in 2024 and we get to meet local people as well as many who travel far distances to meet the animals at little buckets. The animals love to walk over and greet everyone, be petted, and show how amazing farm animals are. The animals love and personalities make a huge connection with visitors and we hope everyone leaves the farm with a more compassionate mindset. In 2023, we had saved a dog from our local shelter who was their longest resident and whose life was in jeopardy. We were fostering him and giving him the best life while looking for his new family. Almost a year to the date of being saved, he got adopted by the most amazing family. He now lives an incredible life with a huge fenced in yard, 2 dog siblings and a cat sibling and truly could not be happier. He took a home that was the perfect fit and we were willing to wait til the perfect family came along and sure enough they did.
