Living independently forever, inc (life) is dedicated to serving the life-long needs of adults with significant learning disabilities within our residential communities. Life is committed to providing these men and women with the education and opportunities to develop their personal and vocational/occupational skills to their maximum potential, and to support them appropriately in independent and group living.
Programs
4 programs
Group residential living provides intensive residential support for individuals with higher needs. Located in various locations throughout southeastern massachusetts, life currently operates five separate homes which offer 24/7 support and assistance with daily living, social activities, and skill development.
Employment services provides 1:1 job coaching and placement services. Life's employment specialists help individuals comprehensively, from job applications, through the interview preparation, and on-the-job training. This program helps individuals secure and maintain employment, increasing their self-sufficiency and quality of life.
Community-based day program focuses on work readiness and skill development. Individuals participate in volunteer opportunities, job exploration, and skill-building activities. A robust calendar of social and fitness activities fosters both physical and mental wellness. The goal of this program is to foster skills of daily living in a supportive community to empower each individual in pursuit of a meaningful life.
Shared living offers residential support in caregiver homes. This program provides 24/7 support and assistance with daily living tasks, social activities, and health care. Shared living allows individuals to live in a home-like setting with the support they need. Life facilitates this program and provides additional supports and respite for designated caregivers.
