Living Learning Libraries assisted educators and parents in meeting specific academic needs through curation services: on a monthly basis, creating or curating customized book and resource plans. These include an International Baccalaureate school (approximately 200 books monthly), large learning cooperatives (600 books monthly for 250 - 300 children), and two smaller learning cooperatives, who are using about 120 books per month.
Living Learning Libraries hosted a weekly Summer Story-time in May and June, open to children up to age 12. Also, approximately monthly during the schoolyear and on various holidays, LLL offered childrens story-time gatherings which included read alouds, historical and arts education, as well as, crafts and other activities. Attendance varied from 40 to 75 children per event. LLL cross promoted ecological and educational events with various organizations. Parental Education: Through the schoolyear, we host a once monthly parental enrichment event, as we lead parents through studying education itself, and reading the books of well known educators. LLL also offers constant parental support to the adults coming through our library as they seek input on ecouraging reading, overcoming reading reluctance, developing students personal interests and career goals, and dealing with learning difficulties or whatever other reading issues present.
In September of 2024 Living Learning Libraries opened a second branch located at 1484 SW 34th, Palm City, FL 34990.
