"duckworth summer wednesdaysduckworth summer wednesdays launched in summer 2023 as a pilot event series to activate portland's underutilized eastbank esplanade. Lloyd ecodistrict hosted weekly live music performances, community markets, and placemaking activations at duckworth dock, helping reclaim the waterfront as a safe, welcoming space for neighbors and visitors. The series provided free, family-friendly programming with food vendors, bike parking, and a mobile lending library, setting the stage for long-term programming and tourism partnerships that support economic and social vitality."

Lloyd ecodistrict's remaining fy24 programs advanced environmental justice, neighborhood preparedness, inclusive engagement, and systems-level climate solutions across multiple program areas.under residential resilience, we supported community education and emergency response through resource fairs, air quality tool distribution, and a partnership with portland bureau of emergency management (pbem) that led to the delivery of $7,153 worth of direct supplies, outreach, and event activations. We also launched our lending library under the inclusive prosperity program area, making zero-waste serviceware, solar lighting, water coolers, and event infrastructure available for free to residents, nonprofits, and local entrepreneurs. The library supported over a dozen public events during its first months.our path to decarbonization work included ongoing energy benchmarking, multifamily outreach, and support for electric vehicle readiness at regulated housing and commercial buildings. We continued our education and advocacy efforts through the leaf forum and lamp/champ initiatives, helping build the foundation for broader building performance upgrades.in the climate adaptation realm, we addressed public space resilience and ecological awareness through efforts like broadway in bloom, which brought $5,173 in community greening to lloyd's main commercial corridor, and seasonal events like parking day and winter lights festival, which promoted safer, more activated streets. Throughout fy24, our annual lloyd open house and public forums continued to highlight the interconnected future of housing, mobility, climate, and equity in portland's urban core.
