The Local Public Sector Alliance is a non-profit organization established to promote inclusive, equitable societies and sustainable global development by enhancing the understanding of decentralization and localization as complex, cross-cutting and multi-stakeholder reforms.

Knowledge Development - LPSA engages in the general development of general and specific knowledge products related to decentralization and localization, such as primers, methodologies, country assessment, and other knowledge products. LPSA prepared the Multilevel governance as an Opportunity or Obstacle to Development (MOOD) Assessment framework and refined its LoGICA Intergovernmental Profile Assessment. It prepared an Initial Assessment of the State of Local Governance Institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Knowledge Sharing - LPSA engages in the sharing of knowledge and information related to decentralization and localiztion, including through blog posts on our website (Decentalization.net); our electronic newsletter; webinars; and online courses. LPSA posted 100 blog posts in 2023; its website (Decentralization. Net) served 32,000 global users; and issued 12 newsletters and announcements. LPSAs webinar shared knowledge with 138 attendees and 243 YouTube views.
