The american rescue plan act (arpa) provided coronavirus state and local fiscal recovery funds (slfrf) to unified government of wyandotte county and johnson county. Portions of these funds were granted to the organization to train, upskill, and reskill eligible wyandotte and johnson county residents and provide wrap-around services to fill in-demand jobs in priority sectors as well as other high demand occupations.

The organization was a sub-grantee of a federal pathway home grant to operate the respectworks program within its service area. This program focuses on delivering comprehensive re-entry and workforce development services, including training and supportive services, to individuals both pre- and post-release from incarceration from a state prison.

To include all various other state and local grants focused on workforce development activities by providing skills and training, and other wrap-around services for area participants and employers.
