Loggerhead Marinelife Center Inc

In 2024, loggerhead marinelife center admitted 1,261 sea turtles representing all 5 species found in the u.s. Atlantic ocean (kemp's ridley, loggerhead, green, hawksbill, and leatherback) into the hospital. There were 1,041 hatchlings and post-hatchlings, and 220 juveniles or larger. We released 956 turtles after rehabilitation. So, survival rate overall was 76%.

Over 75,000 learners participated in one of the 25 stem education programs which included the junior marine biologist summer camp and national and state academic standard-aligned student field trips and guided programs for adults and families. In addition to providing educational experiences to lmc's 330,000 annual visitors, loggerhead marinelife center engaged nearly 15,000 individuals and families through interactive outreach activities and presentations virtually and in the community.
