The museum provides programs heightening public awareness of national historical events, other cultures and environmental issues.

The museum provides tours of artesia school, a historical site, for school children and the general public. The lompoc unified school district donates use of the artesia school to the museum for $1 per year. Fair market value for occupancy of these facilities is $6,048 per year.
