Land is a public art initiative committed to curating site- and situation-specific contemporary art projects, in los angeles and beyond.
Programs

Land programming-land programming includes land's multiple program series, which are our most responsive projects, creating opportunities for immediate public engagement and artist support. Throughout the year, land produces several free single-day events across los angeles. Land has three public program series, each that centers a different artistic practice: sound, film and performance. In addition, land organizes artist-driven programs to activate and support land commissions and land exhibitions. Land also has a nomadic residency program, landxair, which partners with different hosting venues to support artistic process. Examples of land programming in fy24 included, soundscapes: maral and soundscapes: alan paloma, frame rate, landxair at the ace hotel, nomadic nights, and plant sale.
Land exhibitions-land exhibitions respond thematically to a site or issue, taking place in site-responsive contexts. These are curator-initiated projects, often presenting the work of multiple artists in dialogue and comprised of multiple newly-commissioned work. Land exhibitions in fy24 included gatherings at the los angeles state historic park featuring adee roberson, star feliz, maria maea and for the sake of dancing in the street featuring yasmine nasser diaz, las tesis, morehsin allahyari, at oxy arts in highland park.
