Agriculture leadership activities the loudon county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local acricultural civic & community organizations. Leaders attend district state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications and agriculture activities.
Youth leadership activities annually the loudon county farm bureau remains involved as part of the oversight of agricultural youth development in the area. The efforts include outreach to rural suburban and urban youth. The loudon county farm bureau assists in manning and funding an ag field day where elementary school students get to see how important ag is to everyday life and to educate them on where our food and fiber comes from.
