Buddy program - summer program for blind children that includes mentoring and association with other successful blind persons. The organization did not implement this program this year due to a lack of state funding for virtual instruction.

Step program - summer training and employment project is for blind teenagers to promote job readiness skills and independence.

National federation of the blind of louisiana provided resources to assist in outreach advocacy, training and support for blind/visually impaired people. It is a 501 (c) 3 organization. Also, greater ouachita chapter of the national federation of the blind of louisiana provided resources to assist blind/visually impaired people.
