Youth engagement: this portion of services include our signature 10-week program, on & off the p.i.t.c.h., our one-day clinics, and total support for our elementary soccer league. The signature program was provided ten times over the course of the year, with an emphasis on introducing the game of soccer to youth and integrating the sport with a value model, nutrition, and mentorship to help develop healthy habits and build social and emotional skills. Every participant is provided with a soccer ball, shirt, water bottle, and bag to use after the completion of the program. Our one-day clinics provide an opportunity for community partners, including school-based organizations, non-profits, and other youth serving organizations, to provide an opportunity for youth to participate in an interactive, fun soccer environment. Our clinics also emphasize the importance of physical activity, values, and transferable skills gained from participation in team sports. The elementary league is a partnership between parks and recreation and jcps to help elementary school soccer teams participate in a competitive league. Our support comes in the form of equipment, coaches, coaching education, and other resources for individual players that want to participate. In addition, we provide players from this recreational league an opportunity join and engage with competitive soccer teams around the community. In 2024, 6,809 pieces of equipment, valued at $68,084, were given away to program participants.
Youth investment - this portion of services includes our investment into individuals and families, to allow young athletes an opportunity to participate in competitive soccer environments.
