Love In The Name Of Christ Of Eastern Carver County

In 2024, we supported 99 individuals who needed are repair assistance. By partnering with a local mechanic, we vetted many applicants. Some vehicles were determined to be beyound repair. But a grant from Carver County, we were able to get 99 local residents who desperately need transportation to get to work, manage childcare, attend doctor's appointments, etc. back on the road safely. Transportation, when not reliable, can create significant instability to a household. Not all public transporation options meet our residents' needs. Stewarding this grant was a privilege to see how hopeful recipients were to keep pressing forward. Literally and figuratively.

In 2024, our helpline is where it all begins by receiving nearly 3,000 calls/emails from local residents asking for help during hard times. Our services provide compassionate and patient assistance to provide basic living essentials and/or refer residents to other service agencies in the area. Trained staff and volunteers start a relationship with hurting residents. We listen to their stories, and we provide hope when hope runs out.
