Love Inc Of The Black Hills

The love inc connection center (formerly known as the clearinghouse) processes calls for help by first having phone volunteers listen, encourage, pray for, and problem-solve with each caller. Then, individuals are connected with church volunteers and resources to assist with furniture, bedding, and kitchen items. The total value of items given was $106,715. Volunteers contributed 3,962 hours to support these programs. There were 1802 requests for help made this year, with 1,129 of those needs met.

Life inc is a safe, supportive environment where individuals can learn, grow, and chart a new course for their lives. Through classes and mentoring, life inc provides essential support. Local churches offer free meals, and free childcare programming is available. In 2024 over 200 children, ages 0-12 attended programing, 243 adults participated in classes, and volunteers contributed 1,564 hours of service. 67 families received clothing assistance for 98 children, valued at $9,800. Life inc was offered quarterly at 10 different church campuses, providing 21 course offerings in areas such as finances, parenting, marriage, addiction, employment, health, bible study, and life skills.

Hill city/keystone affiliate: this is the first year of operation for love inc hill city. They hosted two life inc series, one in the spring and one in the fall, with 75 participants attending various classes. Two individuals successfully completed budget mentoring sessions.five local churches are supporting and actively involved with love inc hill city/keystone. During the summer, the community kids closet organized a clothing swap, serving 200 kids and 85 families. A total of 243 bags of clothing were distributed.

Sturgis affiliate: the sturgis location hosted life inc. Additionally, the location served families through the clothes-a-kid for school program, providing new clothing for 15 children. A total of 28 volunteers contributed 210 hours to this effort. The changed diaper ministry also made an impact by helping moms with diapers for their children, distributing over 50 packs of diapers in 2024.

After school: the after-school program is designed for middle school-aged kids, offering mentorship and life skills training led by church volunteers and high school juniors and seniors who have graduated from the program. Currently hosted at two churches in rapid city, the program provides a safe, supportive environment where kids can build confidence, develop essential skills like time management and communication, and form meaningful connections with caring mentors. The focus is on personal growth, leadership, and preparing students for future success, while fostering a sense of community and belonging.in 2024, the program served 648 unique students, with 41 volunteers contributing 1,788 volunteer hours. The total number of individual visits was 6,862.
