Foster Care:All children should grow up in families, not institutions. LWB continued our transformative foster care programs in 2024, including our Safe Haven program for children who have been trafficked or severely abused. This year, 312 children found love and support in LWB foster homes around the world. A special highlight this year includes the expansion of foster care to Mbale, Uganda. In addition, LWB published our international foster care guide and held successful foster care conferences in Uganda, Cambodia, India, and Guatemala.

Education:From our nationally recognized primary schools in Cambodia to our new Tob'Anik Believe in Me center in Guatemala, LWB's Education program helped 1,296 children have access to learning in 2024. One special highlight of the year was celebrating 46 students in rural Cambodia who became first-generation university graduates.

Nutrition:LWB continued our work fighting childhood hunger in 2024, serving over 253,000 hot meals to impoverished children in our school programs. An additional 4,320 vulnerable families were given supplemental food support, helping over 16,000 children have access to safe, sufficient food. As a sustainable source of protein, egg-laying chickens were provided to 450 children in Guatemala.

Healing Homes: LWB's Healing Homes program was created to help children who are orphaned or abandoned. In March of 2024, after almost 20 years of service, we were notified that our healing home in China would need to close, as children were recalled to their home orphanages. In total, over 600 children received care through this life-changing program. In India, we provided care for 20 children with HIV in 2024.

Special Projects:Over 9,800 children were impacted by one-time special projects in 2024, including the delivery of wheelchairs, new shoes, and warm winter clothing. Because access to clean water is such an essential part of child health, filters, wells, and water tanks were provided to 2,400 children in India, Uganda, Cambodia, and Guatemala.

Family Strengthening:LWB continually strives to build family resilience in the regions where we work. This year, we helped 28 children from our foster care program have safe and healthy reunifications with their biological families. Additionally, 101 children received surgery through our China Unity program for desperate families unable to afford medical care. We also provided safe housing to eight at-risk families and launched economic empowerment courses for foster families in Uganda.
