Mission
Our mission is to provide immediate, safe, and nurturing shelter for youth ages 10-18 who are runaway, homeless, or at risk of homelessness, as well as minors who are survivors of domestic sex and labor trafficking. We offer more than just a roof-through a trauma-informed, family-centered approach, we provide a refuge where children and youth can heal from their experiences, regain a sense of safety, and begin to rebuild their lives. Our services include personalized, wrap-around support that addresses not only their immediate needs for food, shelter, and clothing but also their long-term emotional, mental, and social well-being. With a strong focus on family reunification and stabilization, we work hand-in-hand with parents and caregivers to foster understanding, repair relationships, and create pathways toward healing and growth. At Loving Arms, we believe that every child deserves to be heard, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive-free from fear, abuse, and neglect.
Programs

Navigation Services to homeless youth 18 - 24 and adults, experiencing homelessness in Baltimore City. We were able to provide intakes and assessments for individuals who were experiencing housing insecurities and enter them into the Coordinated Access Systems for possible Housing Choice Vouchers or Rapid Rehousing Slots. In addition, we provided mental health referrals and access to housing resources, to include assistance with referrals for emergency shelter for youth, young adults and parents experiencing or at risk of becoming homeless.
We provided street outreach to youth and young adults between the age of 10 and 24, providing gateway services to securing basic needs like food, shelter and clothing. In addition, we provided winter coats and blankets to the homeless and connected street youth to emergency medical resources, assisted in securing entitlements and made referrals to housing providers through collaboration with community-based programs serving homeless individuals and through the Baltimore City Continuum of Care (COC).
