The purpose of the lubbock women's club historical foundation is to preserve, protect, and promote the historic and architectural character and heritage of broadway, the overton neighborhood, the central business district and the city of lubbock through activities including but not limited to the maintenance of the building at 2020 broadway ("the building"), lubbock, lubbock county, texas, and all grounds and properties currently associated with the building and any that may be associated in the future. Further purpose is to educate the public as to the historic character of the community through the acquisition and maintenance of furnishings and decorative items that are appropriate for the colonial revival style building; presenting educatonal programs and events concerning the building; and enabling the public to access the building.
