The organization purchased the Palmer Building on the Chariton town square in 2018 and took the steps necessary to prevent its collapse. Beginning in 2023, the organization has undertaken to develop the building consistent with historic preservation standards as first floor school/commercial space and a second floor apartment. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026.
Lucas County Arts Council contributed the CB&Q Freight House and related properties to the organization in February 2020. Through its disregarded entity CB&Q Freight House LLC, the organization manages the property as an event space.
