Programs
2 programs
Client Services - Program includes our quarterly patient education classes, semi-annual conferences, adult and youth support groups, semi-annual printed newsletter, Lupus Buddy Program, bi-weekly electronic newsletter, and monthly Lupus 101 series (including in-person and online educational events). Many of these servies are extended not just to lupus patients but their famileis and support networks as well. Medical information, research updates, and online patient tutorials are posted regularly on our Web site and electornic newsletter. We also provide one-on-one phone and in-person counseling to lupus patients and their families.
Volunteer Servies - With its small staff, the organization relies heavily on the work of vounteers. LFNC maintains a core of regular volunteers who come to our office weekly to help with mailing, data entry, clerical work, phone calls and other office needs. For special events LFNC recruits volunteers from schools and community groups to assist with various tasks, including registration, catering, and information disseminiation during our annual Drumbeat to a Lupus Cure 5k conference and fundraising events.
