Full-service animal shelter, animal care, adoptive services, humane investigaation services and humane education.

Investigative services - investigation reports of animal abuse / neglect and enforcement of pennsylvania animal cruelty laws. The shelter ambulance responded to numerous calls. 386 new and check back investigations were completed in 2024. 80 animals were seized by the humane society police officer due to cruelty and neglect by their owners.
Education and community outreach - educated people in the methods of caring for and protecting animals, as well as safe animal interaction behaviors. Community outreach provided schools, clubs, and other community organizations with learning opportunities. Employees made presentations at schools and shelter tours were conducted throughout the year for humane education. Volunteers contributed more than 3,000 hours for the benefit of community outreach and animal care.
