Il part b grant staff attended and participated in several special education advisory council meetings in the counties of amherst, appomattox, bedford and campbell and the city of lynchburg. Staff assisted with developing new public relations and marketing items for the seac. The il part b grant funds are used to implement the fifth core service (transition and diversion).
Bedford county provided services for 102 disabled consumers residing in bedford county, va., which included il core services as well as ticket to work employment network case services requested from persons receiving social security disability benefits. Lacil actively participated with the bedford area resource council which included members from approximately 30 other agencies, businesses, churches and organizations providing services to the bedford region.
