Mission
Our purpose is to provide spiritual (Christian), medical, educational, and physical everyday-help to those in need in the Balkans (in and around Macedonia and the former republics that made up Yugoslavia).
Programs
3 programs
SPIRITUAL HELP - We support or assist indigenous Christian workers in the various countries within the Balkan peninsula. We sponsor or co-sponsor 4-6 Vacation Bible Schools or youth camps each year.We supply Bibles and Christian literature as needed by these workers and / or churches. When designated, we have supported building of church structures or provided funds to repair and/or expand structures. We also have a ministry and conference center in Litochoro, Greece where Christian workers can be trained and renewed for service.
EDUCATION - We provide educational scholarships to over 200 children, youth and adults. For the last few years, we started a plan to educate and train as many national Christians as possible. Our hope is that many will go to seminary and serve in their homeland. It is generally for the following situations:- To fund education for students who would otherwise not be able to go to school; or,- To provide a Christian education to students; or,- To provide a vocational education so people can be trained to work.
MEDICAL SUPPORT - We provide vitamins and non-prescriptive medications on a regular basis. On occasions, prescriptive medications have been utilized through volunteer doctors. Also, on occasions, we have provided medical equipment and/or funds for same for hospitals in the Balkans. An on-going process is the caring for severe medical cases within the Balkans if the individuals can be properly treated. When they cannot be treated in-country, they are brought to an adequate facility in another country for medical treatment.
