Washington jobs initiative/good jobs challenge grant: within the industry sector of aerospace and advanced manufacturing, mi is partnering with a coalition of employers and other strategic partners to train and place workers into high-quality jobs that the employers need filled and intend to fill through the partnership. Working with partners such as seattle jobs initiative, anew, coe marine technology and awb institute mi is working to place graduates from our pre-apprenticeship cohorts in advanced manufacturing and welding into high-quality jobs that are paying livable wages.

Esd aba pre-apprenticeship grant: expand mi's career accelerator pre-apprenticeship program by creating and adopting a fabrication welding pre-apprenticeship 12-week program; develop a strategy for engaging youth and removing program barriers for underrepresented persons such as; local tribes, the latino civic alliance, military families, veterans returning to the civilian workforce, lgbtq, and bipoc individuals.

Esd aba apprenticeship grant: design and implement a machine operator 18-month apprenticeship occupation and register it with l&i through the state of washington. Engage in the statewide effort to develop career pathways from k-12 through higher education.
