Mission
To promote the teaching and preservation of the cultural and artistic heritage of the Southern Appalachians and Cherokee people and to serve as a community resource and gathering place.
Programs

Educational Opportunities: CSAHC hosted local fourth grade students for a day of learning and hands-on activities. Resident Artists offered classes in music, dance, pottery, oil painting, quilting, wellness and fiber arts. CSAHC partnered with the Center for Craft and UNCA Asheville Masters of Public Health program to gather data from visitors on why craft is so vital to our region.
Serve as a community gathering place: CSAHC facilities are used for weekly exercise classes and outdoor recreation, and other community gatherings. CSAHC provided space for community groups, artists, and crafters to meet weekly.
