Madagascar Water Project Inc

The Madagascar Water Project built a 8-station municipal water system in the Lutheran compound, Village of Betroka, Regions of Anosy, sourced by an MWP drill well. The project provides clean water and shower/toilet facilities to tow schools, one church and approximately 1,000 residents. The project also provides clean water to the Villiage of Betroka, population 20,000, which lacks waterfor approximately 4-5 months each year. MWP maintains an operates this facility at no cost.

The Madagascar Water Project drilled 11 new water wells in the District of Betroka, Region of Anosy. Three wells provide water to agricultrural project developed to alleviate some of the malnutrition iissue in the area. The MWP also redhabilitated and repaired 24 existing but broken water wells in rural villiages to provided water where no was available.

Additional work included (1) well maintenance and repair of 200+ producing water wells along the east coast(Regions of Antsinanana and southern Madagascar (Region of Anosy): (2) drilling nine replacement and in-fill wels alnong the east coast, Regions of ntsinanana and Vato Vavy: (3) performance of geophysical survey and infrastructure & project assessments in areasthroughout Madagascar, Regions of Antsinanana, Vato Vavy, and Antananarivo area.
