Madison Countians Allied Against Poverty Inc

Housing services: housing repairs were conducted throughout madison county for the impoverished community. Approximately 50 housing repairs were completed.

Food pantry: provided 120 food boxes each monday morning to impoverished madison county residents. Our community garden, helping hands garden of h.o.p.e., contributed on average 8500 pounds of fresh produce to residents. Additionally, 650 boxes of food were provided to impoverished families during the thanksgiving holiday.

Adult education: the new attitudes educational program had over 225 single head of household parents from madison county complete 12 hours of adult basic education. Those indivindividuals were eligible to receive school supplies and new book bags for their children and/or for help during the holidays through our "holiday adopt a child" program. Children's education: during the school year madcaap held an afterschool program each monday-thursday for 18 impoverished elementary age children. They received homework assistance and were provided structured playtime.
